January never feels like a time for creating New Year’s Resolutions and taking action for me. Instead, I find myself planting the seeds for my creative goals to take root by Spring. During the winter months, I feel inspired to dream of more opportunities for building community and connecting. I want to spend time with the friends and clients I care about, and I want to grow together.
First thing’s first, I would like to open Friday February 27th to potential walk-ins. As my space develops, I am eager to share it with new clients and create a time for people to drop by, say hi, and maybe get a last minute tattoo they feel inspired to get! Moving forward, I would love to do First Fridays in Oakland, but I am booked for February First Friday, so catch me in March for First Friday! For now, I will be open for walk-ins 12 pm to 7 pm on Friday, February 27th.
Another goal I have is to bring together a group of folks to work through The Artist’s Way. I have experienced profound transformations in how I show up for myself, honor my creativity, and navigate relationships as a result of working this program in 2025. The Artist’s Way includes 12 weeks of essay writing, intentional art projects, self date ideas for artists and so much more. The whole point of this program is to weave creativity into your life in such a way that it becomes a spiritual practice.
Starting Saturday, March 7th, I would love to meet bi-weekly with a group to work through this 12 week program. I am open to the idea of meeting weekly, and I am in search of the right space for us. Some potential spaces include my own apartment’s common area in Downtown Oakland or Lake Merritt. If you are interested and have ideas for common spaces that would host this type of gathering, I’d love to hear about it. I have always wanted to facilitate this type of healing experience with people I care about. If you’d be interested, please send me a message. I’ll include some contact info at the bottom of this post.
I want to be consistent with my writing. Those of you who have followed my journey know how important blogging and writing used to be to me. I’m looking forward to coming home to this part of my expression again. I am also intrigued by the idea of a podcast… coming soon in April. I am very much still in the development of this idea, but I would love to connect with other creatives who have an appreciation for an inspiring yap session. I want to share more of myself and what tattooing can be for me and my clients.
My final share is my client referral program. I am eternally grateful for my clients who speak highly of their experience and my work. Word of mouth is a powerful way to promote my business, and I want to give back to my clients. Moving forward, I will have a spot on my booking form for you to include if you were referred by an existing client. Once a new client has booked and paid their deposit, you (my existing client) will be eligible for $25 off your next tattoo with me. This is unlimited! If you refer 10 clients my way, that is an hour free for you.
I’m thrilled for what 2026 has in store for us all. None of this would be possible without the support of my clients and loved ones. I am grounding in my current phase of life and exploring how I can continue to grow and evolve. I also strive to look ahead to how I can bring together and serve my community. I’m excited to connect this year!
